Fandom Friday: 5 Favorite Fictional Fathers

This fandom Friday is quite funny. My list is composed by different types of fictional fathers. Not all of them are good, but these are the ones I like the most (for different reasons). Let’s begin!
1. Darth Vader (Star Wars).

Darth Vader is not an exemplary father at all. But he is my favorite, more like a boss than a father though. While I was living in Japan, there were many commercials with Darth Vader, always seen from a ‘cute’ perspective, and also from a ‘boss’ perspective. I cannot take those from my mind.
2. Professor Charles Chavier, aka X (the X-men).

Professor X is a father figure for many mutants. He gives advice and takes care of many mutant children, as well as adults. He uses his abilities as much as he can to help others, specially children. He wants them to succeed and cares about them deeply.
3. Gomez Addams (The Addams Family).

The next is Gomez Addams. He is the strangest and yet most delightful fictional dads out there. He is passionate and creepy. I loved the Addams Family, and I never could have enough. One of the reasons was Gomez and Morticia. They were funny and amazing!
4. Bill Adama (Battlestar Galactica).

He is a disaster as Dad. Although he loves his two sons, and also Starbucks (he adopted her in a very weird way), he is all messed up. He is flawed, the Cylons make him crazy, and yet, he loves his surviving son, despite having a really complicated relationship with him. The same happens with Starbuck, it’s all messed up. And yet, you end up caring about him.
5. John McClane (Die Hard).

The next Dad is famous for his ways of protecting the family. We all need a John McClane in our lives just for the protection part. He is not ideal, but, damn. Try to bully the kid! You’ll regret it in record time. He’ll do whatever he can, blowing up things, to try to ‘fix’ things.
