How to Become a Work From Home Queen

If you’re a mom wanting to create a side hustle or main hustle or be a work-from-home queen, or if you’re fed up with your 9-to-5 and wish to become an entrepreneur or freelancer, keep reading. I won’t explore the possibility of working from home for another company. I will propose something different: to create an online business that will allow you to be a work-from-home queen.

Work From Home Queen Essentials

Remote work offers the freedom to build your schedule, pursue your passions, and cultivate a lifestyle that reflects your values. It also helps maintain your career if you are a mom. Although I’m not a mother myself, I’ve had many working moms on my team through the years. In the last company, I worked as a permanent employee and was a happy team leader. I had a very diverse team with many part-time moms working from home. However, when a bigger company bought us, we faced the horrors of redundancy together.

Though I did everything I could to save my team members, I went down with part of it. In fact, I went down with a gigantic portion of the whole department at the time. That included many people who would have found it very hard to find another similar job.

That made me realize how lucky I was to have a side hustle that allowed me to jump online quickly. I had a fantastic portfolio to show to clients. Thanks to that, I landed my first client just after 15 days after redundancy. Then, I thought: if all those team members had had the same in place as me, they would all have had the same opportunities! Mompreneurs would have thrived like me.

So, what do you need to become a work-from-home queen?

Step 1: Know Your Super Power

First, you need to know what your best skills are. Creating an online business is easier than you think. However, choosing incorrectly is the fastest path to frustration and despair! You can sell your services online, monetize your hobbies, become my affiliate (I give you 30% of sales), you name it! The question isn’t exactly what you can do, but if what you can do is something you’re ready to talk about for ages!

Ask yourself:

Is what you want to do something you’re passionate about? Or are you copying someone else because you think that will bring you money?
How much do you know about the thing you’ve chosen? Perhaps it’s not a good idea to start with something you’re not so good at first!
What do people ask you the most when they reach for your help?

To give you an easy example. Maybe you’d like to teach guitar classes online. Yet, you have only 1 year of experience in it. Creating an online business around guitar classes wouldn’t be a smart move. However, you are a super DIY decorator showing tips on doing stuff while caring for your kids! Perhaps the second option isn’t as fashionable for you, but you know tons about it and could come up with new DIY ideas forever! This is your golden treasure!

Step 2: Master Marketing and Branding

One of the first and most important steps to becoming a work-from-home queen is learning how to market yourself and your brand. Marketing and branding are crucial to standing out in a crowded digital landscape. Standing out it’s difficult if you don’t know what to do. Just posting on Instagram isn’t marketing. You need to invest in yourself and learn some marketing notions when crafting a proper plan that will allow you to thrive.

Writing a book is one of the most rewarding ways to solidify your expertise and build your brand. Becoming a published author is an incredible way to enhance your credibility and expand your influence, whether it’s a how-to guide, memoir, or fiction novel. I must confess: I just wanted to write those just because! But others are more practical.

Step 6: Embrace Continuous Learning

Finally, one of the most important aspects of becoming a work-from-home queen is the understanding that learning never stops. Whether you’re looking to enhance your skills in marketing, writing, or creating passive income, there’s always more to learn.

Even though I’m here teaching everything I know, I haven’t stopped learning other topics! For example, I’m not exactly great at speaking in front of crowds.
