American Gods: OMG!

I can just say one thing about American Gods: OMG! The show is so intense that you cannot stop staring even for a little blink. The photography of the show is so breathtaking that it left me gasping. I won’t lie to you, some of the Gods are incredibly spooky. Have you ever seen a Goddess eat a man through her vagina? You’re up to see that and gasp feeling as frightened as allured at the same time!
[SPOILERS: I cannot describe the show unless I give away some spoilers. You should also consider this show to be very mature. This is not a show for kids!]

We follow the steps of Shadow. He is in jail waiting to go out soon. However, they let him out before time because his wife dies. He’s devastated! In his way home, he meets Mr. Wednesday, Odin himself. Wednesday offers him a job, and he accepts. They’ll be moving throughout the country enlisting old Gods for a battle against the new Gods. In this journey, Shadow will meet different Gods that have different skills and stories to tell.
Shadow needs to come to terms with how his wife died: sucking his best friend’s dick. Harsh, I know, but that’s what happens. Meanwhile, Wednesday tries to convince Shadow of believing in something. As it happens, even if unexplainable things are happening around him, he still believes in nothing. But, will it last?

As I said, the photography of this show is staggering. Each shot is a piece of art. There’s no way you can’t stop re-thinking what you see on the screen since the number of metaphors is also high.
We also meet the Gods, but they’re not all that we expect. For example, we get to meet a particular guy with a Hammer, but he’s quite disgusting. In fact, many of the Gods are either disgusting, or mean, or incredibly scary. Whatever the case, they’re alluring enough as for you never stop watching.

Do I recommend this show? Yes! Do I recommend reading the book? Yes, but after or before enjoying the show. I haven’t read the book yet, so I’ll wait until the end of the show. I don’t want to mess up my opinion on both. But what I can see from the show, I bet both of them are amazing.
There are no limits on the show, so expect to see everything on the screen. Therefore, I don’t recommend it for kids. Put them to bed. This is not for them! Don’t miss this show, is one of the best out there right now. Plus, if you’re looking for some metaphoric inspiration for your art, this is it!
