Fandom Friday: 5 Favorite Late To The Game TV Discoveries

I’m back writing another Fandom Friday! I moved, and it was crazy! I am still catching up on things I want to do and that I have to do, but one of the delights of Fridays is that we get to talk about our favorite fandoms. This time, I have to confess about five of my favorite late to the game TV discoveries (only that I made them online because I’ve been without a TV since 2004!!!) So, what shows have taken my heart away very late?
1. Supernatural.

I arrived at the fandom in 2015! Yeah, super late! But, once I started watching the show I couldn’t stop! My sweetpie was visiting his parents, and I had no idea what to see next. We usually watch the shows together, so I decided to start one on my own. And I chose the one with more seasons! (Well, I know, Dr.Who has more seasons, but this one had all the monsters and I wanted some vampires and demons.) So I went for it! Guess what happened! I binge-watched the first season in a weekend! And I soon told my sweetpie to start digging into it because he was going to love it! Guess what: we’re addicted! Not only I arrived late, I also made someone fall for it in record time. Now I suffer like the rest of members of the family, and I have to wait a whole week before I can watch one episode. Dang!
2. Once Upon a Time, aka OUAT.

I started Once Upon a Time some months ago (amazing!) And I chose it because it was long, was about fairy tales, had Disney in it, and it was supposed to last for the lunch-time all over 2016. But alas, I loved it so much that I binge-watched it in two months, and now I am waiting for the new episode on Netflix. I need Emma to rescue Hook! I am dying here! How they dare to make us wait until March!!!! Besides, tell you can ignore that pierced eye smoldering pirate up there, and I won’t say anything else. At this point, I must admit that I only watch it because of Captain Swan and Regina, the Sass Queen. I love the show; I felt deep into the fandom, and I am collecting all the Funkos.
3. Firefly.

I arrived really late here! Again, same reasons: alone, nothing to do, I wanted to watch a show, and I went for something “old.” And I loved it! In fact, I binge-watch it in record time and then I was mad because some idjit had canceled this marvel of the Universe, and we are but left to just a season and a movie. If you haven’t seen it yet, go for it! It’s a good show, and you’ll love it! [I don’t consider myself a Browncoat, but I enjoyed the show a lot. Good stuff!]
4. Vampire Diaries.

I started the deed back in December… For no other reason than boredom and wanting a show to last a lot. I must admit that I only watch it because of Damon. There’s no other reason to it, but this crazy vampire. He is dark, sassy, sexy and quite nuts. I am behaving, since I haven’t binge-watched it massively, so I still have some chapters to go. If you like all things vampire, then you’ll love the show. It has sexy people in it; it’s funny, and there’s a lot of blood. (Don’t expect too many brains, though.)
5. Battle Star Galactica (original series + new one)

Although we all know the sexy bomb that Caprica Six is, and the super hot couple that Caprica 6 and Dr. Gaius Baltar are, nothing prepares you for the cheesiness of the original series. I arrived to this show way too late. Dang, I had no option, at least for the original series. Not only I came incredibly late for the cheesy one, but also for the new one (which I love deeply). Again, it seems that when I discover something pretty late, I binge-watch it till the point of exhaustion. I could simply not stop! I was watching BSG every single day after work back in Tokyo. Best discovery ever! [Plus, you get a bunch of sexy people in this show. Sexy is good. Even if they’re cylons 😉 ]
