Fandom Friday: 5 Real Life People Who Inspire Me

This week’s fandom Friday has been difficult, mainly because people is not usually my source of inspiration. To find five real life geeks was too difficult, so I decided to bend the topic to choose five real life people who have inspired me at some point in my life. It might be a tiny inspiration or a huge one. Okay, let’s begin!

1. Steve Jobs.

He might not be qualified as a geek per se, but he gave a speech that influenced me a lot at the time I found it. I was living in Japan and it all made sense to me. He had his strong points and also his weaknesses but, overall, connecting the dots made its way to my heart, especially at a time where I was starting to discover myself in a deeper level.

2. Misha Collins

He doesn’t give a damn about what other people say! And by doing so he inspires zillions! (Okay, I might be exaggerating a bit!) I love that he is kind of nuts, but he is on the right side of the equation: you should do what you want and not give a damn about what other people think!

3. J.K. Rowling

Rowling inspires me as an author. I love the way she has handled all the Harry Potter novels and everything in between. It’s never to late to create the baby-work of your dreams!

4. Jared Padalecki (AKF- Always Keep Fighting)

Whatever happens, even if you fall a zillion times, even if you feel like giving up: don’t. Always keep fighting! Strong message with simple words.

5. Robert Downey Jr (OMG)

And here comes the wicked inspiration! He knows exactly what he wants, and has played Hollywood skillfully! I mean, this guy is dynamite. I know, perhaps not the guy you expected to have into an inspirational list 😀
